Gun Violence In The Latino Community Forum

There are 100 million more guns in America than there are people. Mass shootings are becoming a common occurrence in America. 4,700 Latinos on average are dying by gun violence annually (22 per day) and 13,300 more are being shot and wounded. Latinos are twice as likely to die by gun violence and four times as likely to be shot and wounded as white people. Mass shootings are shocking, but gun violence overall is the problem, yet many states are making it easier to possess firearms – no age requirement, no permit required, no background checks, no training, and no red flag laws.

Without violating the 2nd amendment to the Constitution, what should gun reform include? This forum is being presented to help us get our heads around this tragedy and to find ways to help reduce and prevent gun violence.

This forum will be held on Saturday, February 17 at 09:00 am CST. If you or your group haven’t registered yet, please do so before February 2nd. Registration rates increase on February 3rd and we are reaching capacity!
