The USHLI launched its 2024 Student Leadership Series (SLS) on Thursday, February 15, 2024, prior to their 2024 National Conference. Our SLS Launch was attended by 2,600 students representing 63 high schools in six states! The program consisted of a Motivational Student Rally, Scholarship and Financial Aid Workshop, and National Undergraduate Career & College Recruitment Fair.
The National Undergraduate Career & College Recruitment Fair hosted 21 corporate, government, and nonprofit recruiters and 55 institutions of higher education including liberal arts colleges, state colleges, private colleges and universities.
The SLS serves as the cornerstone of USHL’s campaign to create a culture of education in which academic persistence will become a priority in every Latino household. The program focuses on motivating students to stay in school, improve their academic performance, graduate from college, and pursue and successfully complete some level of post-secondary education or training. Since 2011, the SLS has reached over 976,800 participants across 39 states and over 3,530 organizations.
