Latino/A Leaders Recognition Luncheon Speaker Fresard

Chief Judge Patricia Perez Fresard was born in Quito, Ecuador and grew up in Detroit, Michigan. She earned a degree in business administration from Western Michigan University and completed a juris doctorate at Detroit College of Law.

Judge Fresard began her career as an assistant prosecutor, before being elected to the Wayne County Circuit Court in 1999, and has worked in both the criminal and civil divisions. She was appointed as Chief Judge Pro Tem in 2019.

Judge Fresard was appointed Chief Judge of the Third Circuit Court of Michigan by the Michigan Supreme Court beginning January 1, 2023, becoming the second woman and first Hispanic to serve as Chief Judge. She was recently reappointed to a two-year term.

Chief Judge Fresard and her husband, Donn Matthew Fresard, have three grown children and two grandchildren.

The Latino/a Leaders Recognition Luncheon will be held on Saturday, February 17 @ 12:00 pm CST.
